The 2006 Guangdong International Tourism and culture Festival was inaugurated in Guangzhou on 24th November, 2006. Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Guangdong Province invited more than eighty overseas Chinese outstanding youth from 18 different countries and regions to participate this festival.
In the following three days, the young guests were arranged by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office to visit Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Foshan which stand for GuangdongĄ¯s latest development. Most of the guests were in their first China tour and they were deeply impressed by the prosperity and the long history of those cities. They said that the trip was so unforgettable and joyful that it would enhance their relations with Guangdong .
