On the evening of January 19th, the results of the 4th Original Animation & Comic Competition (OACC), the highest award of Chinese animation and comics, were unveiled.

The 4th OACC attracted over 5,000 works from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, the U.S.A, Canada, Australia, Malaysia and more. The Cantonese original animation and comic industry yielded rich fruits, winning eight of the forty prizes. 

The General Administration of Press and Publication of the P.R.C delivered a message of congratulations, saying that since Guangzhou won the bid to host the 4th OACC, the municipal government together with the relevant departments had successfully worked jointly to establish a state-level industry base engaged in the development of online games, animation and comics, creating a perfect environment for animation & comic enterprises and products.
