The first Tomb-sweeping Holiday is just like a "Mini-Golden Week". According to the information from Guangzhou Grandbuy, Guangzhou Friendship Store, Teem City, Xindaxin, Modern Department Store, and Simgo Department Store, the stores in these six department stores all made a huge fortune during the 3-day holiday, the sales situation of which almost keeps up with that of "Labor Day" golden week.

The hot sales during the Tomb-sweeping Holiday are out of the expectations of the merchants. According to the rough estimation by Guangzhou Daily, the sales of the major five department stores alone hit RMB 93.20 million. And many store managers remarked that the most popular products were mainly home appliances and clothes.

According to a manger with Guangzhou Friendship Store, the sales for electric products increased by one to two times on a year-on-year basis. Besides the dehumidifiers, the major hot sales include televisions, air-conditioners, air cleaners, refrigerators, washing machines, etc.

The Grandbuy, Guangzhou Friendship Store, Teem City and Simgo Department Store all said that the clothes counters are dense with buyers. The sales rocketed up with all the major marketplaces realizing a sales increase of over 50 percent. And the sales of clothes of Modern Department Store increased by three times than that of last weekend.
